It's actually made in Unity! Also thank you! There was actually an update this week, but there will be more thanks to you and everyone else who is playing it! :)
really nice, I was really hoping for this project to become a bigger one and maybe see it on steam! that's of course up to you (great game devs sirs!) thank you for your talent
Yeah same here! We would love to return and make our puppet guy do all sorts of new things! Also it's totally possible a steam release is in the cards so stay tuned in! :)
i dont understand anything of the lore of the game, i just flip cards, gain money, flip more cards, and see if the puppet moves, i don´t understand it, but i like it so much, it´s funny :D
Money Into Multiplier is a crazy card. My money overflowed at least three times before finally settling on this number. I tried to go another round but every single interaction caused a lot of lag.
Totally agree, in fact I pushed a build yesterday that nerfs it a lot (and it's still good!) it seems like you're on the downloaded version so if it again you'll see the new stuff. I know it's kind of a pain downloading random files but if you get the itch desktop app it makes updates a lot easier
life is a remix, and you can make something "original" by using known quantities. also, just don't play something if you don't want to as "you control the buttons you press".
Oh wow got the escape ending quite fast todday, had a good combo of perks (whenever an eye opens, upgrade all ajacent cards, upgrade money cards in corners when flipped, and flip a money card whenever a column is finished, you gain big money with that real fast) I only had 7 "minutes" on the clock left, so i was just in time haha!
TLDR; I played this game for about 2 hours (when it only takes a few mins to finish) to get the "Escape Ending", just because... If you read that then just play the game already.
Hey you, I'm Ty and I review games sometimes here on itch. Ok now when it came to this game the reason, I even clicked on it in the first place was because of the thumbnail. The puppet gave me "Hello Puppet" vibes. The game store page isn't too bad either, more straight forward then some of the other top tier games but not exactly a bad thing.
Now when I started the game I was greeted with disappointment by the gameplay. I cut out alot of me braining my way through what I thought the card game was trying to clue me in on to solve it. At first, I thought it was something like minesweeper giving you clues with the "??" when you hover over cards. Maybe some of the descriptions hint at where to click and where not to click. Honestly, it's just to click a random card. So, stupid and pointless random game that uses cards, smh...
Is what I thought at first but a couple of times through the shop I started to notice that the strats come in when you really play into perk card effects. Basically, the main game depends on the shop to feel like a game.
It's one of the simplest concepts I can think of to use as gameplay, to just click something random but again, I played this for like 2 hours so you can tell me after you play it if it's that straight forward.
The graphics are nice and clean. I like the shop music but it's copyright so be careful of your YouTube vids.
You can easily get crazy amounts of money in this game after you realize how to play to win.
BUG!! DEV FIX PLS When you exit the game it doesn't actually close and you have to close it from the task manager. I show this at the end of the video
accidentally broke the game with the eye getting a multiplier of 4649815 but before that i broke the game to giving me more time starting from 00:00 while i got to keep my perk combos and money
fun game, I played 1 game where I got 10000x ++ multiplier and the next card flipped caused my money to flip back to 0, wonderfully broken I find it so funny hahahahahahahaha
I dunno if this is intended, but the "top" perk (the one that makes it so all top cards are reactivated when the eye is activated) makes it so when the eye is on the top this creates an infinite reactivation loop, which is only stopped by what I assume is some emergency depth recursion limit.
(It might turn out this isn't a bug at all and everyone might tune in with all the other ways to get infinite reactivation loops, but I feel like relying on a depth recursion limit to keep the game playable is a little dodgy)
I totally agree with you. That limit is a bit of a band-aid right now, while we figure out that 'right' way to handle infinite loops like that. Any suggestions? My instinct is to limit Eyes and things that react to eyes to just one activation per turn, but that feels slightly disappointing.
I agree that that does feel slightly underwhelming, but then again, probably most rational solutions to this problem are going to feel slightly underwhelming...
One idea I had, though this is definitely quite an ambitious idea, would be for each card to have a quantity called "fragility" associated with it. This could be like a really big number like 500 or something, and it would be physically on the card so the user could see it while they were playing, then every time the card gets activated the number goes down by 1, and then when it gets to 0 it could remove the card, and potentially even trigger some other event like a reward/punishment for the user.
I like the idea of the user playing the game normally thinking "I wonder what happens when that big number gets to zero", I think it adds some additional intrigue.
Then again, I imagine it would be a hefty amount of work to implement. If I could change something small about the game though, something that shouldn't amount to that much work, it would be good if you limited the maximum number of casino chips so the game would stop worrying about them when you got too many. Like I really like the casino chips don't get me wrong, but when you have like a bajillion of them they block the rest of the UI and I think I'm right in the guess that they're responsible for most of the lag when you start making the big bucks.
Oooohhh, just an idea but like could there be a way to differ them but the bad cards have an ever so slightly difference like a misspelled letter?(not forcing just an idea sorry!)
Gambling (also known as betting or gaming) is the wagering of something of value ("the stakes") on a random event with the intent of winning something else of value, where instances of strategy are discounted. Gambling thus requires three elements to be present: consideration (an amount wagered), risk (chance), and a prize.[1] The outcome of the wager is often immediate, such as a single roll of dice, a spin of a roulette wheel, or a horse crossing the finish line, but longer time frames are also common, allowing wagers on the outcome of a future sports contest or even an entire sports season.
The term "gaming"[2] in this context typically refers to instances in which the activity has been specifically permitted by law. The two words are not mutually exclusive; i.e., a "gaming" company offers (legal) "gambling" activities to the public[3] and may be regulated by one of many gaming control boards, for example, the Nevada Gaming Control Board. However, this distinction is not universally observed in the English-speaking world. For instance, in the United Kingdom, the regulator of gambling activities is called the Gambling Commission (not the Gaming Commission).[4] The word gaming is used more frequently since the rise of computer and video games to describe activities that do not necessarily involve wagering, especially online gaming, with the new usage still not having displaced the old usage as the primary definition in common dictionaries. "Gaming" has also been used euphemistically to circumvent laws against "gambling". The media and others have used one term or the other to frame conversations around the subjects, resulting in a shift of perceptions among their audiences.[5])
And more about laughter (for being part of a group—it signals acceptance and positive interactions with others. Laughter is sometimes seen as contagious and the laughter of one person can itself provoke laughter from others as a positive feedback.[4][5][6][7]
The study of humor and laughter, and its psychological and physiological effects on the human body, is called gelotology.)
Bro, why are you deciding what he can or cant make, this (I think this is released in America) where he has freedom of choice to make whatever he wants, so please, let this dude be. He made a cool game that is his not yours. You don't get to decide what he posts or not
Did you consider that maybe the combination of gambling as a theme, references to medication and side effects, the horror-adjacent presentation of the game and the unease associated with it, and the framing device of this being a card game played against "your boss", are all deliberate choices made to get the player thinking about the game in a certain way?

yipe :D
I'll be waiting the good news
Had one of the most unlucky starts to the game.
I proceeded to hit 3 enemies out of 4 cards on the second round as well...
My advice is to not flip over the bad cards. Hope this helps!

Check it out, it's a good game
Wow, a horror game with a creepy children's mascot AND a deckbuilder, how original!
life is a remix, and you can make something "original" by using known quantities. also, just don't play something if you don't want to as "you control the buttons you press".
I didn't play this lol. Are you ten years old?
are you?
I thought it was sarcaism.......welp, nvm
Another baby who doesn't know how to capitalize
Why are you even commenting on something you didn't bother to play?
The game is fun, though I’m confused about the perks but enjoying it so far!
I believe in you!

Nice 😎
Honestly, I loved it!
I had so much fun with this, and definitely gonna play it again!
I could see this being another big game along the lines of buckshot roulette and arsonate. Great job!

Great game prototype!
Escape? Me? ~ HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH
This was really fun to play :)

never seen the blue chips stack so high
Btw, the mega loan COSTS $99 instead of giving you $99
Thanks for pointing this out, just fixed it!
> Be me
> Start run
> Damn, got enemy on first turn
> Holy, another?
> Repeats, Get down to one life.
> Clear entire board, might as well
> Go into shop
> Lost all my money rerolling
> Go into 10 mg
> Hit eye first turn for no reason
> Hit two enemies in a row.
Do I stop chat? Or is being greedy good?
Quirky! Sinister! Ominous!

Like Icarus, you flew too close to the sun.
Wait so is this a game of chance or is there a way to differ the bad from the good cards
Yes!
Oooohhh, just an idea but like could there be a way to differ them but the bad cards have an ever so slightly difference like a misspelled letter?(not forcing just an idea sorry!)
<3
The thrill of getting a good run when the cash starts piling up, very nice!
I loved this, reminds me of arsonate and balatro, definitely worth the 2 hours of my time it took for me to win.
I enjoyed this
I absolutely love the game. My only issue is that there are so many things in the game that I just don't know what they do or what they mean.
ADD MORE GAMBLING
Cool concept :) I was entering the 99mg room, and suddently I got out of time, not sure what controls time.
Time advances by one minute every time you make a move or enter a room.
oh boy more mascot horror
Make this game less about gambling (

Fun little game
The whole roguelike element in this reminds me a lot of one of your older games. I like it, and I look forward to whatever else you may make.
I hate to insult my boss, but he looks like a muppet-
